The Atera® management team has a combined experience of over ninety years producing state of the art heaters, chillers, water pumps, electronic control systems and high quality therapy hot tub spas and swim spas.
The Atera® team believes strongly in adhering to time proven manufacturing processes! There’s a vast array of materials and processes used today to manufacture hot tub spas, swim spas and pools. Unfortunately, many companies knowingly use cheap, inferior and often imported poor quality components and many of these components are often not even available when replacement parts are needed.
Every year, several manufacturers change their brand names when they find it financially impossible to live up to the terms of their Limited Warranties. Some simply change their company name and brand names and begin down the same deceptive path once again. As industry insiders, we know who they are, but do you!
As a cost saving measure, many manufacturers also eliminate important production processes resulting in poor quality products that usually fail within a matter of months. Unfortunately, many hot tub spa brands are produced in other countries (i.e., Mexico and China) but represented as “made in America.”
Please spend the time to educate yourself! It will not take long to ask your family, friends and neighbors what their experience has been with the brand and company they chose to do business with.
Also, there’s an abundant amount of information readily available online from reputable companies that do not sell hot tub spas or swim spas and there is literally thousands of pages of reviews about many brands. The time you spend doing research will definitely be time well spent!

Can you kick the cabinet? Oh, they hate that! Try to lift the hot tub spa, you definitely shouldn't be able to! Find out where the components are made and what’s inside, behind the cabinet. What’s the frame made of that’s supposed to support the weight of water and people for twenty years? What’s the structural composition of the material supporting and backing the beautiful acrylic shell? Is it time proven fiberglass? Is the shell acrylic or a different plastic? How is it insulated? Can you even determine where the brand is made and how to reach the company if the need arises?
